The objective of this meeting is to create an action plan to try to help neighbors in need as part of an effort to restore the authentic spirit of a cooperative to Concord Village. This includes at least:
Help members solve individual challenges and work collectively to address community-wide issues
Help members address fears about speaking up or getting help, especially regarding retaliation or targeting
Help members understand they are not alone in their concerns
Plan for the transition away from HUD, especially regarding oversight issues (which they are failing at anyway)
Help restore the co-operative values of shared expenses, member services, financial planning and transparency
Help members understand their rights and how to most effectively address issues and grievances
Create a reference resource list of third-party advocates, sample forms and letters, and case studies
Inspire members to take their oversight role seriously and to demand transparency & accountability
